Matthew Freed paints a subtle pattern on a platter and Gordon Mortimer carves an wooden bird. Sometimes we are interrupted by someone who wants to buy something and that is okay too.

I have taken a walk on the wide side. This plate is about 13 inches across if you or older then 30 and living Canada or if you live in the USA, else where it is 32 cm across. I want to make some larger pieces but always production calls. I will do my best to serve both masters, Mammon and the Muse.

Today was First Saturday so Ray and I were in the studio working away with the gate open in case someone wanted to drop but for a visit. I young couple came in to have a look around. The young woman saw the new necklace and ... Well I guess I am on the right track because it was just what she was looking for. This also makes me happy.

I made these "butterfly wing beads the other day and a break from production tedium. The same day a broken string of blue beads turned up on the "free table" outside our place. In a fit of work avoidance and the with the addition of antiqued brass findings I cobbled this together.
Not at all like my usual but I like it.
